Arena (PvP)
The Arena is asynchronous ranked PvP: you attack defense snapshots of other players (real ones where available, generated bots when opponents are scarce). Unlocks at Stage 5‑1.
How it works
- You battle team-vs-team (3 heroes + their Famions, both sides) via
simulateArenaBattle. - Opponents are defense snapshots — a frozen copy of a squad, so no one needs to be online. Real-player snapshots come from Supabase; if live opponents are scarce, the matchmaker falls back to tiered bots whose level/gear/Famions scale to your bracket.
- Winning raises your rank points; the ladder is seasonal.
Sigils (arena currency)
Sigils are earned from Arena play and spent in arena-related sinks.
| Event | Sigils |
|---|---|
| Win | +15 |
| Loss | −5 |
| Win-streak bonus (streak ≥ 3) | +5 per battle |
| Successful defense | +5 |
| Defense loss | ×0.5 (half the normal loss) |
Plus passive hourly sigils by rank (capped at 12 hours of accrual):
| Rank | Hourly sigils |
|---|---|
| E | 5 |
| D | 10 |
| C | 18 |
| B | 28 |
| A | 40 |
| S | 55 |
| SS | 75 |
The rank ladder (Baybayin glyphs)
Seasonal ranks E → SS, each labelled with a Baybayin glyph. A rank floor prevents dropping below your current rank's minimum mid-season.
| Rank | Points |
|---|---|
| E | 0 – 299 |
| D | 300 – 599 |
| C | 600 – 999 |
| B | 1,000 – 1,499 |
| A | 1,500 – 1,999 |
| S | 2,000 – 2,699 |
| SS | 2,700+ |
(Ranks further subdivide into I / II / III tiers within a band.)
Season rewards
At season rollover you're paid out by the rank you finished:
| Rank | Sigils | Gold | Fragments | Universal shards |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E | 50 | 500 | 0 | 0 |
| D | 120 | 1,500 | 0 | 0 |
| C | 250 | 3,000 | 50 | 0 |
| B | 450 | 5,000 | 100 | 0 |
| A | 700 | 10,000 | 200 | 10 |
| S | 1,000 | 20,000 | 400 | 25 |
| SS | scales above S |
Defense snapshots
Your own defense squad is snapshotted so others can fight it while you're offline. A successful defense (an attacker fails against your snapshot) earns bonus sigils; failed defenses cost only half the normal amount. Your snapshot's heroes resolve their element from their canonical hero id, so matchups stay correct even for older stored snapshots.
